Governor Seyi Makinde

We wish all Islamic faithful in Oyo State Ramadan blessings, while praying to Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant them the strength needed during the fasting period.

Sacrifice, love and increased prayers are important at this time when the world is fighting COVID-19 pandemic.

It is regrettable that Muslims in the State and across the country cannot observe the Ramadan the way they do over the years by gathering in congregation for Tafsir and Tarawih prayers due to the restrictions brought upon us all by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This situation should rather be seen as an opportunity to show more love by caring for others and sharing with them as we use the month of blessings to seek Allah’s forgiveness and pray for the pandemic to be a thing of the past.
