In line with the avowed commitment of the State Government to improve on the welfare of the masses and make life convenient, meaningful and productive for the citizenry, the Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals, Honourable Kunle Yusuf is embarking on the working tour of impactful Projects that are put in place through the platform of Sustainable Development Goals across the State.
Honourable Yusuf commenced on the spot assessment of the facilities on Monday, September,16th, 2019. The said facilities include Blocks of Classrooms and Fencing; Boreholes; Students and Teachers furniture and renovation of dilapidated School Buildings across the State.
The Special Adviser remarked that Sustainable Development Goals which is otherwise known as Global Goals is a universal action designed to end poverty, protect planet and ensure that all the people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030 adding that the programme is committed to FastTrack progress for those furthest behind.
While moving round to inspect the projects located in Oyo, Ilora, Iseyin, Saki, Eruwa, he said further that achieving the SDG requires partnership of Government, Private Sector, Civil Society and the Citizens alike to make sure that all the stakeholders build planet for the future generations.
He, however reiterated the commitments of the State Government under the able leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde to end poverty and hunger, improve nutrition and promote Sustainable Agriculture among others
