Ibadan South Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Scout Camp was excised/ created from the present Ibadan South East Local Government situated at Mapo, on January, 2017. The LCDA headquarters is Scout Camp as pronounced by Oyo State Government but still using its temporary office at Ibadan South East Local Government, Mapo.

The pioneer and present Chairman of the Council Area is HON. FAGUNWA SAKIRU KAYODE while the Council Manager is MRS FUNSO ALAO, the pioneer staffs (workers) of the L.C.D.A were posted to their various Departments and Offices on 6th January, 2017.
