The Staff Structure
There are two categories of functionaries in the Local Government: political functionaries and the civil servants.
Political Functionaries are the elected and political appointees in the Executive and Legislative Council of the Local Government.
The Executive Council includes:

- Other Councillors
- Civil Servants – are career officers who are in the administrative and professional cadres employed by the Local Government Service Commission. As well as other Junior staff that are directly employed by the Local Government.
Organizational Structure
The local government is divided into 8 departments that constitute various units. The Head of Local Government Administration is overall head of the management while Directors head the departments. The (F&GPC) Committee comprises the Chairman, the Vice Chairman, Secretary to the Local Government, Supervisors (equivalent of Commissioners in the State), and Director of Administration & General Services as the secretary. It deliberates and considers project and programme proposals that are above the approving limit of the Chairman.
Another committee of equal statutory importance is Peace and Security Committee (PSC). It is primarily concerned with the state of security within the Local Government Area, and issues bothering on conflict resolution. The committee also deliberates on security reports and ensures that peace reign in the local government. Chairman of the Local Government is the chairman of the committee while other members are Divisional Police Officers, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Immigration, Comptroller of Prison, NSCDC, DSS, Chairman traditional council, Chief Imam, CAN Chairman, FRSC and any other recognized security outfit in the local government area.
Presently, Local Governments in Oyo State are operating under interim government pending the conduct of the Local Government election. The caretaker chairman, Hon. Jonathan Ogundiwin coordinates the affairs of the council. There is no legislative arm in place.

ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT
STAFF PROMOTION AND ANNUAL INCREMENT
The promotion exercise of the eligible junior officers for the year 2011 was carried out and letters were released while 2012 promotion interview was conducted and letters are yet to be released.
The annual increment for the entire members of staff are being done as at when due.
Members of staff are going on their annual leave accordingly in line with the leave roster prepared at the beginning of every year.
YEAR 2011
- LAYERS PRODUCTION: The department of Agriculture raised five hundred pullets to the point of lay and maintained subsequently for egg production over a period of twelve months.
- FISHERY; Two thousand units of juveniles catfish were raised to table size and later sold to the members of staff and the public.
- RUMINANT VACCINATION; Goats and Sheep were vaccinated against contagious Bovine pleuropneumonia and pestes des petit ruminante.
- FARMERS TRAINING AND COORDINATION:
Training of farmers to enhance efficiency was given topmost priority. Their activities were equally coordinated.
- EXTENSION SERVICES:
Farmers within the Local Government enjoyed a smooth and uninterrupted extension service delivery provided by the Ibadan North East Local Government at no cost to the farmers.
YEAR 2012

YEAR 2013
- BROILER PRODUCTION: The department of Agriculture raised two hundred and fifty broilers from day old to twelve weeks old and were later sold to the members of staff.
- FISHERY:- Production and Processing.
- The department had as its main project cat fish production. One thousand cat fish were raised from juveniles to table size and were subsequently sold to the members of staff and the members of the public.
- RUMINANT VACCINATION:- The department embarked on an enlightenment campaign stating the reasons why ruminants need to be vaccinated and the vaccination were actually done door to door.
- FARMERS TRAINING AND COORDINATION
- Farmers groups, societies, cooperatives were coordinated by the department. Also various training aimed at improving the farmers’ skill and intimate them with the innovations in the world of Agriculture were organized in the year.
- EXTENSION SERVICE: Extension service delivery has been a focus of the department through entertainment of requests and complaints from the farms and subsequent visitation to their farm.
- FARMERS FRIENDLYY RADIO PROGRAMME
- Farmers’ educative programme “AGBESAYE DOTUN” was sponsored by the local government and the department of Agric through a principal Agric Officer engaged in question and answer programme at Premier F.M 93.5.
The department of Agriculture through the coordination of the Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture carried out a comprehensive farmers Database which subsequently facilitated the success of G.E.S programme.
YEAR 2014
FISHERY:- As usual the department of Agriculture engaged in the production of cat fish by raising one thousand juveniles to table size which were processed for sales to the member of the public.
RUMINANT VACCINATION:- Yearly ruminant vaccination took place as usual in the month of April.
FARMERS TRAINING AND COORDINATION;- Regular Training and upgrading of Farmers to the modern day Agricultural practices were done throughout the year.
EXTENSION SERVICES;- Farmers plight in Agricultural practices were promptly responded to.
FARMERS FRIENDLY PROGRAMME;- Farmers educative programme Agbe saye dotun sponsored by Ibadan North East Local Government and aired by Premier F.M 93.5 was run in the 1st quarter of the year.
YEAR 2015
FISHERY;- Production and processing.
The department engages in cat fish production and processing 1000 juvenile cat fish were raised to table size and sold to members of the public.
RUMINANT VACCINATION:
Sheep and Goats in the Local Government area were vaccinated in the month of April.
FARMERS TRAINING AND COORDINATION:
Farmers in the Local Government embraced the usual training programme of the department.
EXTENSION SERVICES:
Extension service delivery was intensified in the Local Government area in the year 2015.
DRY SEASON VEGETABLE:
The department engaged in a mini dry season vegetable production which was later sold to the Local Government community.
FARM LAND;- Fire tracing was done on the 8 acres of farm land at Lagun and sign post installed to guide against trespassing.
YEAR 2016
FISHERY;- Production and processing.
The two concrete ponds were stocked with one thousand three hundred juvenile cat fish each and were raised to table size.
FARMERS;- Training and coordination
Farmers in the Local Government area were trained in different branches of agriculture .The farmers’ societies were equally coordinated.
RUMINANT VACCINATION;- Goats and Sheep in the Local Government were vaccinated in the month of April.
EXTENSION SERVICES;- Innovations in Agriculture were brought to the farmers in the Local Government area through the extension services delivery from January to December Year 2016.
FARM INPUTS DISTRIBUTION;-
Various farm inputs, knapsack sprayer, herbicides, pesticides, seeds were distributed to the farmers free of charge in the Local Government area in the month of November 2016.
YEAR 2017
FISHERY;- Production and Processing.
The stocked Two thousand six hundred cat fish were sold fresh and processed in the 1st quarter of the year 2017.
FARMERS TRAINING AND COORDINATION:
The Local Government farmers continued to receive training from the officers of the Agric department.
EXTENSION SERVICES;-
The department renders the extension service delivery in the Local Government Area.

- The Budget department was created in 2009 but it was not fully in operation until 2011 when its full activity and services started.
- The Budget department has been able to facilitate some infrastructures like road networking, rehabilitation of schools, drilling of boreholes and also providing good health care centre because of the participation of the MDGs programme and the counterpart fund released by Governor Isiaq Ajimobi.
- The Budget department was able to train staffs on the newly introduced International Public Sectors Accounting Standard (IPSAS) both in the Finance and Budget departments; this gave room for easy preparation of budget.

- Environmental Sanitation: The weekly and monthly environmental sanitation were observed within the local government jurisdiction, all the strategic locations like Bashorun, Oje, Iwo Road under bridge, Aremo and others were monitored health wisely, people that violated the environmental sanitation laws were arrested and fined in court.
- Market Sanitation: All the market in all the jurisdiction of Ibadan North East Local Government were monitored to ascertain the hygiene condition of the market, places like Bashorun market, Oje, were mobilized to clean their environment.
- Pauper Burial: No pauper was buried in the month of June.
- Street Trading Control: Restricted areas like Iwo Road under bridge, Oje market, Bus-stop area of Agodi Gate were environmentally organized to avoid street trading and loss of life.
- Clearing of Drainages: Drainage at Iwo Road, Agodi Gate was properly monitored to disallow insanitary dumping of refuse and free flow of waste water.
- House-to-House Inspection: All officers in all five Zonal Health Offices within the Local Government carried out routine house-to-house inspection, various houses were visited in the zones to detect and abate nuisances, abatement notices were served and verified. Dilapidated buildings were discovered and necessary action was taken on it.
- Ecological Control: Since the inception of this administration from2011 till date, all the filthy drains, blocked drains and accumulated refuse are continuously cleared mostly every month and this made it possible for the Local Government to achieve complete non-outbreaks of disease e.g. cholera, typhoid which can arise as a result of accumulated refuse and flood disaster which can also be caused by drain blockage in all twelve (12) wards of the Local Government.
- Street Sweepers and Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI): To make the environment within the Local Government cleaner and beautiful, the administration engages the services of sixty casual street sweepers and about one hundred and twenty (120) Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) personnel were distributed to various locations within the jurisdiction of the Local Government with the period.
- Water Sanitation: Outbreak of Water borne disease were also prevented and controlled through the adequate funding and proper sanitary chlorination of all wells within the twelve (12) wards of the Local Government by the group of experts i.e. EHOS which is the major source of water supply. This has added more greatly to the achievements of the present administration as there was no any sort of outbreak of water borne disease which can attract both State and Federal Government attention.
- Health Education: Members of the public were health educated on the importance of living in a healthy and conducive environment, in order to reduce the huge cost of providing curative drugs.
- Street Trading Control in Restricted Areas: Restricted areas like Iwo Road Interchange, Oje Area, Agodi gate, Bus-stop were environmentally policed in order to prevent street trading.
